I am terribly depressed. I am going on depression meds next week.. How differently do they make you feel???? And whats the best kind would you say?

Well, I’m no doctor. I was on a few different meds for depression. The worst was paxel. The best was lexipro. They don’t make you feel weird. They make it so that when things happen that would normally make you want to cry. You don’t. It’s like a constant feeling of everything will be okay in the end. Not constantly happy but, constantly at ease. For instance, someone doesn’t like you, its okay there are millions of fish in the sea. You spill your soda, that’s okay, I can always get more. You’re happy just being yourself.
However, those warnings about not quiting on your own are very true. You can really make yourself crazy if you just stop taking them. I did and had horrible panic attacks. Just be ready to take them for a while.
