how will IT jobs hold out in a depression?

If the USA falls into another depression how will IT jobs hold out? Would IT jobs pay less or more in that situation?

no depression will hit again in the us, the stock markets so locked down tight with regulations you cant even cash out your chips fast enough to cause a depression. So rest peacefully and pursue an IT career.
